- Chosen by Voters No more often than absolutely necessary. Bathing a dog strips all the oils out of their skin and dries their coat as well. So, bath him only when you have to, use dog shampoo, luke warm water and make sure to rinse very, very well to get all the shampoo out. Then towel dry and keep him in the house until he's entirely dry because they get very cold when wet. 5 years ago 67% 2 Votes 1 person rated this as good
- Chosen by Voters "Good pet" is subjective. I love my Pickle ( a red ear slider) but he's not everyone's idea of an ideal pet. He's definitely not cuddly. But he is quiet, and I don't have to walk him. They take a fair bit of money to house properly, but the upkeep is not bad at all. I have mine in a 75 gallon tank and that is about as SMALL as you wanna go, a big female may need a 120 gallon tank when she is full grown! They need powerful filtration (I have a big bad FX5 canister on my tank) a heater, special lighting and I use "reptisafe" as the water conditioner. My turtles diet consists of Reptomin ( a pelleted turtle food) vegetation such as green leaf lettuce or dandelion greens, and occasionally Rosey Red Minnows. I also throw in some cuttle bone as calcium supplementation. I have two suggestions if you decide to go ahead and get a turtle. Don't get a "few", get one. They are not social animals and may fight for territory. To even attempt to house two you would need a tank twice the size as for one, so that means a 200+ gallon tank. Also, consider finding a turtle for adoption. Craigslist is always flooded with red ear sliders, and there are reptile rescue groups. There are advantages to getting older turtles…the hatchlings are very delicate and get sick very easily, the bigger ones are "established" and have a better survival rate. Also if it's big enough you can choose a male or female (you can't really tell with hatchlings) Good Luck Source(s): http://redearslider.com/ 2 years ago 100% 1 Vote
- Chosen by Voters for it to have great effects it should be organic and unpasteurized … it can't be the heinz stuff on the grocery store shelf … i have been adding apple cider vinegar to my dogs breakfast and supper and i have found a great difference in her coat and she has not had one ear infection (which she got regularly from swimming in the ocean) since being on the apple cider vinegar … 3 months ago 100% 1 Vote

It would cost virtually nothing. They would have to pay a one time fee to have it translated ($500 per language at the very most), then they have to pay the IT guy to set it up on the website (one day's salary, no more than $150). Assuming this is a major chain, with a market cap in the billions, we are talking about a fraction of a fraction of a percent of their annual profit…I'm talking like 0.000001%. Money is not stopping them… and it probably won't happen until someone sues them for discrimination (which I am not condoning). 5 years ago thanks, Our annual associate call for questions ans suggestions is comming up, and I wan't to suggest care guides in different languages to help me better serve our customers.
- Chosen by Voters I do not know if the words "adopt today" were included, but the only commercial close to what you are describing is for GLAAD. If you do not get the video to play, read the editors comments:http://www.commercialcloset.org/common/a… 2 years ago 100% 1 Vote
the lady was wrong to tell you that you need a life and for her to not properly take care of a dog. once in a blue moon it's okay to forget (no more than 3-4 times a year), not sometimes. sometimes forgetting is how the dog got matted in the first place. my mom, dad, and I had to brush my german shep a few times a week due to a skin allergy to maintain her fur and health. if you can't maintain a regular routine for an animal, such as brushing, then you shouldn't own one. 4 years ago 2 people rated this as good I totally agree!
I think that proving to parents is hard, trust me. I had to bargain with my parents BIG time to get my gerbils. What I would say is to show them that you can be responsible by caring for you dog a lot better and maybe asking your parents if you can do chores and make some money. If you could pay for the hamster and if you don't have a cage or foog and buy that, then I think they will be happy!Just don't beg, they hate that. Well good luck! 4 years ago This answer sounds great cuz it's not something really hard like a yard sale but it's a great way to show resposiblity for what you want to care for.
